Happiness is Made and Not Found
Students are empowered to make decisions every day that affect their scholastic and personal lives. Too often, the power we hold to positively affect our futures and day to day lives are suppressed by a myriad of pressures. Jade Vidal and Adriana Zelada are students at Austin O’Brien High School. Jade is a passionate and active member of the Model United Nations debate team. She is a flutist for the Concert Ensemble, a photographer/editor for the Yearbook Team and a competitive member of her school’s Soccer and Badminton teams. Adriana is an avid and committed member of the Edmonton Catholic student advisory council. She is a proud member of the ECSD All-City High school Choir, a volunteer mentor for the Big Brothers Big Sisters club and a devoted member of the Model United Nations debate team. She has a love for public speaking and hopes that through it she may bring positivity to the lives of all those around her.
As students Jade and Adriana strive to find moments of happiness and participate in activities that bring us joy and satisfaction. This endeavour that happiness is made and not found is a driving force and theme of their TEDx talk.
